I've run/walked 30 miles this week. Tomorrow should be another five. Not sure what Saturday will bring since I have my Personal Trainer class. I'll run, but don't know if it'll be before class or after. Hmmm, maybe I could go in early and drop my stuff and run around there. One of my favorite places to run is right down the way. Yesterday was supposed to be the day, but it snowed. So today was the day I tried to run again. Last week I ran on Tuesday and felt pretty okay about it. (Felt pretty GREAT, but it hurt.) Wednesday I tried again but it was honestly pretty painful and I did more running than walking. Then Thursday I was sick (Hank...don't get me started...I freaking HATE Hank.) and Friday I went in to have an IV iron transfusion because Thursday I got out of the bath and blacked out. Yesterday was a l o o o o o n g day! I went in about noon to have an IV iron transfusion. This is the second time I've had to have it because I no longer have the duodenum, which is where your body absorbs iron from food. My body can make iron, but because I lost blood in the surgery and some with the hematoma, my hematocrit was left pretty low. My body was starting to make up for it, but not fast enough.Thursday, January 24th 2008
Last night I started feeling really achy and feverish. WTH? I took my temp and it was 99. I normally run about 97.3 so that's a slight fever for me. I was FREEZING and couldn't seem to get warm. Couldn't get a deep breath and everything hurt, even my clothes. In fact, I think even the clothes in my closet hurt!« Previous
