30 miles and counting

Thursday, January 31st 2008

I've run/walked 30 miles this week. Tomorrow should be another five. Not sure what Saturday will bring since I have my Personal Trainer class. I'll run, but don't know if it'll be before class or after. Hmmm, maybe I could go in early and drop my stuff and run around there. One of my favorite places to run is right down the way. Or I could run just after and have Roy come get me.

I'm not doing a straight run yet, but I am doing more running than walking. Tomorrow will be just a walk. Friday...

Runnnnnner Girrrrrrrllll

Tuesday, January 29th 2008

Yesterday was supposed to be the day, but it snowed. So today was the day I tried to run again. Last week I ran on Tuesday and felt pretty okay about it. (Felt pretty GREAT, but it hurt.) Wednesday I tried again but it was honestly pretty painful and I did more running than walking. My body can make iron, but because I lost blood in the surgery and some with the hematoma, my hematocrit was left pretty low. My body was starting to make up for it, but not fast enough.

It's a pretty long procedure, but not a huge deal, really. It's just ambulatory care, ...

Sick and Tired of Being Sick

Thursday, January 24th 2008

Last night I started feeling really achy and feverish. WTH? I took my temp and it was 99. I normally run about 97.3 so that's a slight fever for me. I was FREEZING and couldn't seem to get warm. Couldn't get a deep breath and everything hurt, even my clothes. In fact, I think even the clothes in my closet hurt!

Middle of the night I woke up freezing again, even though the thermostat read 69 (hee hee). Took some Tylenol, warmed up my buckwheat pillow thingy in the micro and tried to go bac...
