View MSTEECHUR's food & exercise for this day

So I'm working on my personal trainer stuff. Internship should start any day now. I'm going to pick the brain of a friend who is doing it right now, rather successfully I might add. I've chosen a name; Journey Fitness. I even parked a few web domains.

I think I want to do a combination one-on-one and online program. I have supported people via email for years. I just am not quite sure where to start (beyond securing the domains...obviously). What shall I offer? How do I offer it? What is the best way to go about it?

I want to start small and learn from mistakes rather than start big and screw up big time.

I do have someone who just emailed me and would like my services, so I asked her if she was willing to be my guinea pig understanding that it's all just new and no liability is attached. I haven't done anything with her yet beyond saying "Yeah, I think you can do it!"

Just a lot to think about and it's going forward faster than planned, but there is a very real possibility I may go half time next year.

Wow, that's awesome that this is moving forward - you are so going to rock at this! And I was away from the website the last couple weeks, missed your Joy Fit appearance - I'm so bummed. I don't suppose you know if it's archived anywhere on the website?

I highly recommend seeing if there is a local SCORE group in your area. They are retired former business people who volunteer to advise people starting and running their own businesses. They can probably help you out with figuring out the best plan for building up an achievable ramp up.

I had been considering launching my own business (its on hold for the moment) but they were able to talk to me about finances, marketing and how to plan out my business so that I'd thrive year round. They even had started advising me about taxes which believe me, you do not want to mess up if you are self-employed!

Their website is score.org if you want to check them out.
