Friday, Jan 8 2010 - My First Pound
View MVANEYK's food & exercise for this day
I did it! I lost my first pound! My friends scale says I have actually lost 5 lbs...and my mother-in-law's scales says the same thing. I usually weigh myself at my doctors, so this week I am making a trip there to see what the story is.
I am LOVING this program.....its fun and EASY! Prior to this program, I had been starving myself to lose weight. I was desperate. So when I started with CK, I wasn't accustom to eating....I mean anything! So I had to get used to it...hahahah it didn't take long....I like to eat...obviously (most of my weight gain is from medication). I can't believe how much you can actually eat without going over your calorie intake. Because I am new, I am focusing on staying within my caloric intake and making sure that I exercise everyday (doctors orders anyways). I am starting slowly with walking. I just (today actually) started using the warm ups prior to walking. Oooo I'm out of shape.
Overall, I want to be healthy and strong....this will ultimately lead to weight loss.
I can't wait to see how far I can go!
PS: I am open to any suggestions

Thanks Rick!
:cross2:
I appreciate your suggestions. For me it's just a matter of getting back into it. I have a background in fitness nutrition and personal training so I know what I have to do....I just got away from it...plus all the weight I gained from meds......really need to work on eating cleaner. The water I have covered. One of the meds I am on requires me to drink at least 8 glasses a day. I think because of the fibre and meds I drink 32 glasses a day.
My sodium is bad. Do you have any suggestions on how to lower it? I know if I were eating cleaner that it would go down....working on it.....I am open to any suggestions.
Thanks again Mark!

Melissa, just keep on doing what your doing. walk then walk/run if you like to run. Lots of ladies like the DVD's ad the Wii.
Food, eat clean ,watch the sodium and drink water.
Its as simple as cals in cals burned. of course exercise accelerates the process with all of its other benefits too.
