I'm in combat with fat right now! The weapon at my disposal isn't an A-10 Warthog though. It's my brain. Although if I had an A-10 Warthog I would probably be able to fight off just about anything assaulting me.

I don't have much to write about right now, my life has been pretty much ho-hum all week long, still trying to get over the mystery pain in my foot. The foot doctor took xrays and said there wasn't anything wrong with it, gave me some painkillers and sent me on my way. WOW THANKS! I would sum him up to being a quack. Very little interaction with me. Anyhow I can walk again but if I stand on it for long periods of time it begins to hurt on the top of my foot. I hope the pain goes away completely as it has in the past soon enough.

I was watching a show on CNBC about entrepreneurs and they featured these two guys in NY who use to be male fashion models and they started making their own granola in their apartment to eat and the next thing they knew, they were selling it to local health stores. They went to a grocery conference and were picked up by a large company and they became big. Their product is called FEED. I hear good stuff about this granola and found out a supermarket near me called ROUSES which is owned and operated out of New Orleans, LA carries FEED. The store is a little out of my way in the next city over but went there and was shocked. WOW they have so many healthy choices, its a far cry from the grocery store in my city. I've decided I'm going there from now on for all my shopping.

They didn't have FEED, but the manager wrote it down and said if the other stores carry it, it'll be something he can get on his shelf for me. So in a week I'll go back and hopefully I'll get me some FEED. I went in there only to get the granola and left with 67 dollars worth of stuff. I picked up a bunch of fresh produce to make more salads. I bought some different salad dressings (30 cal stuff) by Bolthouse Farms, and various fat-free snacks etc. I enjoyed walking through there. They had a full salad and sushi bar, a fresh deli, bakery, fish market, and butcher which is something the other store doesn't have. I got some nice 93/7 lean ground beef, to which I'm using in a few minutes to make me a burger with. 160 calories for a 4oz burger!

I guess I did have more to talk about lol.. Oh BIG NEWS! I lost 7 Lbs this past week. I went from 407.0 Lbs on the 18th of February to 400.0 today! Notice what it says for current weight on the right? I'm almost to the weight I was prior to hurricane katrina which was 385/390 lbs. After katrina I lost track and didn't weigh myself until about December 2008/Jan 2009 where I had gained 70+ lbs. And since May 2009 until now I've just about lost all of that. But the thing is I didn't really start trying until last month. CK WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, I ordered a pair of nike sweat pants and they had come in, only I ordered the wrong size. I got them in the same size as my pants and now that my regular pants are falling off my hips I couldn't fit well in these sweat pants so now I have to send them back and order something smaller. As soon as those come in and my foot heals I'm joining a gym.

One last thing, When I bought my ride a few months ago my gut would rub against the steering wheel some of the time, I had good and bad days. And for the past month now I've had total free unobstructed clearance of the steering wheel. You don't know how nice it is to not have your gut rubbing up against a steering wheel until you've been plagued by that. IT SUCKS! But it feels so good to feel thinner driving in my bad ass car now. Picture of said car along the beach where I live... 26 miles of white sand beaches of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

yeah, it's got a hemi. . .

Dinner tonight:

Two baked fillets of Catfish seasoned with lemon pepper and paprika with olive oil, a baked potato, boiled 2 legs of Alaskan King crab and some crawfish. Total calories: 500 I'm stuffed!

I am so happy for you and all the great things you have going on in your life.
Congratulations on the weight loss..7lbs is wonderful.
I know what you mean about the grocery store. For my major grocery shopping i go to Super Walmart..but for my special stuff i go to Earth Fare or Whole Foods. I love their produce and the different dressing.
You car is lovely and if i lived closer to you i would be coming to dinner..that looks yummy :) :)

hahhah you're a lot closer to it than I. I'm afraid if I even tried to jog I'd break something. It's low-impact for me for a while still.

THANKS EVERYONE for the comments. I don't mean to make anyone jealous or envious. I don't think I've ever had that effect on people before. The only thing I can think of is having way more fat then you all. So it comes off faster. I'll probably have a low/slow week coming up like last week.

Still though thanks for the encouragement and my foot is doing better, it's just going to take some time for the pain to go away. I can't either because I'm ready to start walking normal again. I hate walking like a gimp.

Tara, I just can't see myself running a marathon, I'm so far behind you right now. But it would be great to do that one day. If I ever do start running I'd make that one of my ambitions. Fly out to where you're at and run a marathon with you.

Sweet!!!

Yeah I'm a little jealous on the 7lb loss.... I mean happy for you, but also wishing I was there too!!!

Bummer about the foot. I understand foot pain. It really sucks. Sucks worse when the doctor blows it off, but what can you do right?

:afraid4: 7 pounds!! Woah! You are rockin it :rock1: wow, a little jealous :wink2: but at the same time encouraged watching your pounds melt away!

Sorry about the foot :cross3: I blame this all on getting old (I see we're both the same age, so I'm allowed to say that) I hope it feels better soon.

But hurray on the progress in the car! and way cool on finding healthier food! Hope you find stuff you really like.

Congradulation, you are almost in the 300's . WTG, that is awesome. also that is great news on the steering wheel and the pants being to big. I like your car and the beach scene behind is really pretty. You live in a pretty area. I like the beach, but have a 5 hour drive to reach to the ocean from where I live.; so we settle for man made beaches at local lakes. Enjoy your day.
