I have such a problem with candy! I went to the store to get gluten-free snacks for our trip tomorrow and they had Christmas candy on sale-our favorite gluten-free, but fattening kind. And a tin of popcorn-which I asked for for Christmas and didn't get. So I told myself that I would watch my portions and eat some only in moderation. Actually, I was successfull with those things. I didn't overdo it with those. I found some M&M's that I didn't know we had. I had too much of those. They tasted so good to me, which is wierd since, before going gluten-free, I never cared much for m&m's. I also had a cool whip binge. I'm so ashamed to admit that. What a stupid thing to eat! Amazingly, I'm still within my calorie range. If I don't eat anything else tonight, which I don't expect to be very hungry. I looked at my carb/protein ratio and I really need to eat more protein. I may add that to my goals.
I walked with my mommy group today and we did pretty well. I had us do a 5 minute interval skipping and it just about killed all of us. I really enjoyed walking with my friends since we hadn't walked since before Christmas. That's part of my observation for today. The other is how much I hate our double stroller! It is so hard to steer-especially on those skipping intervals.
Small successes today with some of the candy. Now be mindful of all candy and try to get more protein in.
