View NIKKI8's food & exercise for this day
Back on track today. For the most part. I had a small amount of chips this afternoon. I feel so awful still from all the junk from the weekend. I hate that I did that to myself and hope that I have learned a valuable lesson (young lady!).
I am trying to figure out what I should do about my workouts. They take up so much of my time. Today, after I took Collin to school, I went back home, put the baby down for a nap, and did a workout video. I had so much more time for my house and I spent extra time with the baby without big brother around. I really enjoyed it, but I hurt my knee while exercising. I am looking at my schedule and I'm just not sure how to work things out. I make exercise a priority, which is good, but I wonder if I make it too much of a priority. By the time I drive to the gym get the kids (sometimes just 1) checked in to childcare, workout, check the kids out and all, we're talking an hour and a half to 2 hours ordeal depending on what kind of a workout I'm doing.
Any suggestions?
I have an appt. with an orthopedic specialist on Thursday about my knee. I really hope we can figure something out. But even with whatever he says, I think I need to stick with cycling and swimming for my cardio since it's easier on my knees. That means going to the gym. ((Sigh))
So, since I don't have enough stress in my life, my pass or don't graduate board exam is on Saturday. I have so much studying to do this week. I'm absolutely overwhelmed. So if I don't blog as much, that's why. But I probably still will. CK is such a wonderful outlet if I don't let it take too much time. (that's tough).
So the house is going to be my last priority as I take every free moment to study. But today during the kids' naps, I fell asleep studying! I'm exhausted from my family's visit. It was wonderful, but very busy.
Okay, I'd better go study now.

Yeah I agree, studying needs to be a high priority for you this week. Use exercise as a stress outlet but dont let it get you down if you miss a workout or two. YOu have the rest of your life to work out, but just this week to study for that board exam! Good luck!!

Sounds like the exam takes priority over everything this week, even exercise! Try to do something -- some walks or something to keep up your energy and keep your mind and spirit renewed. But no 2-hour trips to the gym until you pass this exam, young lady!!!

Nikki: I bought a very inexpensive treadmill and some dumb bells for my basement and that has really helped. I cancelled my membership to the Y and only w/o at home. Harry can come down with me and watch tv as long as Ron is home to watch Mason or I go down if Mason is sleeping. Maybe think of some changes like that. Good luck on your board!
