NIKKI8's CalorieKing blog

Thursday, Apr 19 2007 - BFL Week 4 Day 5

View NIKKI8's food & exercise for this day

I swear, the Peeps reached out and bit me. So I bit back. I was in the grocery store tonight, very hungry after class. There was Easter candy 75% off. :bang: Good thing is I only ate one package (it's a 3 pack). I have a blue mouth right now. LOL :) Seriously though, I hate that I slipped. My plan was to have it on free day-which is Saturday. I also bought mini-snickers and put those in the freezer. Also planned for free day.
The thing is I'm still hungry and I'm over my calories already. Not by much, but no room for anything else. I had a Healthy Choice meal for dinner-one of the tiny "simple selection" ones-not the big ones with the dessert. But at class I had a protein bar and an apple. So I don't think I should be hungry. Could it be PMS?

I just love peanut butter. Anyone else feel that way? Not the natural kind. I haven't tried that yet, although I know that's the BFL approved food. Today I had celery and peanut butter with my lunch. The Walmart brand peanut butter which I think is just like Jif. It was great-like a semi-healthy indulgence, even if it wasn't 100% on plan.

I signed up my team for our triathlon in August! I'm so excited. We decided to do it as a team because we don't feel like we have the time to train for all 3 events. I'm doing the cycling portion-12 miles. My friend is doing the swimming and her sister is doing the running. But my friend and I are still going to train for running. We'd like to do the whole thing on our own next year. So I'm going to leave out the swimming right now and just focus on cycling and running. I was trying to swim for the last month and a half and I could only do 50 meter without stopping and I have terrible form. I never put my head under water. So I will have to do some major work in that area this winter.

I plan to take spin class twice a week and then we are going to try to run together twice a week. Then I strength train with Ripped videos or BodyPump class. And one day a week I walk with my stroller group. We'll see how this all works out schedule wise.
But it's just so cool to be involved in a challenge like this and to push myself harder towards a goal!

I can't buy any junk food and bring it in the house. That is just no good for me! I too loooove peanut butter. Not all natural ones are good. They have that layer of oil on top of the jar that skeeves me out. I bought Skippy natural that didn't have the oil. not the same as my good ole Peter Pan but it will do!

I agree. NO BUYING CANDY! :nono5: It is hard not to with kids but no one truly needs candy. I don't count cals on BFL right now. I am trying to log but I am over every day and still losing. Eat according to the plan and don't focus on cals and see if that helps! Awesome about the tri!! :y: I admire you!
