NIKKI8's CalorieKing blog

View NIKKI8's food & exercise for this day

I can't believe it's been so long since I updated my blog. Everytime I sat down to write, I would get interupted by the kids, the phone would ring or something would happen. Last night after my run, I planned to get on the computer, but my husband beat me to it. By the time he was off, I was exhausted.

Food has been up and down. I just didn't worry about eating on plan this weekend. And that wasn't good. I didn't go hog wild and stuff myself, so that's a step in the right direction. But I also ate things that were poor choices. I just felt a little discouraged. But I knew I was going to get back on plan and I am Doing well today and yesterday. My goodness, I just realized that it's Tuesday. What is happening to time! :bigeyes3:
I stayed home with the boys all morning. Didn't run any errands and planned to get lots of housework done. But I only got 2 things done: dusted (the thorough kind with Pledge) and cleaned the kitchen floor. How did it take all morning to get those 2 things done?
I also made breakfast and lunches. Patched up a boo-boo. Gave breathing treatments to both kids. Dealt with a major temper tantrum over milk. Talk to my mom on the phone, who is considering divorce to her current husband. So I guess when you look at it that way, I did accomplish a lot. :look:

I ran 1 1/2 miles last night without stopping. It's been a while since I've done that and I felt so out of shape. I feel like a wimp. I don't know why it was so hard. But I only run once a week, so making strides is slow. Plus we took a couple months off and just got back to it a couple weeks ago.

I did my leg workout today. Corinne (of Phit and Phat) designed a workout for me that doesn't use weights so I can rest my arm completely. It is much tougher than it sounds and my heart rate was up the whole time. I feel this was definitely worth the money I paid for that membership. :thumbu2:

I agree - 1.5 miles is great! It's so hard to get back into it after taking time off. I lose my endurance pretty fast, too. I'm so glad that the PNP membership is paying off for you. To answer your question about the stressful events of Monday (you can be nosey. :) ): 1) my company had layoffs on Monday. I knew about it for a while and it just made me sick to think about. I feel so bad for those people even though I know it's what the company had to do. 2) I put on a fundraiser for an organization I'm part of. The fundraiser was my idea so I ended up organizing it. This is a busy time of year both at work and at home so adding that to the mix was just too much. Plus, I am so not a salesperson and I have such a hard time asking people for money and time. It really stressed me out. I'm just glad both of those events are in the past so I can move on!
