View NIKKI8's food & exercise for this day

Super quick update from Chi-town!
Things have been crazy busy here. My husband calls it chaos time whenever we come here. He just left yesterday and that alone has helped things slow down a little. That and my nephews went back to school today.
I have gotten on here a few times and very briefly glanced at blogs. So I read a little on what is going on with everyone, but never a thorough read of one person's blog. I always got interrupted and never had a second to update my own blog.
Food has been awful--just a free for all. I decided last night that I was just tired of feeling so bad, fat, bloated and ashamed. I made a food plan for today, a menu for the week and a grocery list. I did much better today. Not great, not clean. But better than the past few days. Probably better than the last few weeks for that matter.
I also got to exercise today for the first time since I got here. I did a Leslie Sansone Walking DVD and a pilates tape. I can already feel the pilates. The walking workout was so much less than what I'm used to now. But it felt good just to be doing something. So glad I did it.
My sister and I are supposed to run in the morning, but she has such a hard time getting up early. We have to get up before any of the kids do and I can't set an alarm as I'm sleeping in the same room as my kids. So we'll see if she gets me up.
The boys are having a blast with their cousins. But they are so far off their schedules, which I always expect when we come here. But they have been going to bed very late and getting little or no naps at all. Collin has horrible bags under his eyes and I'm worried one of them will get sick. But I got them both to bed early tonight with no problems. I hope to get them down for naps tomorrow, but since they are in the same room, it's been nearly impossible. And Carter climbs out of the pack-n-play (the stinker! this is the first time he has done that.) This summer I would put Carter down for a nap in my sister's room in the pack-n-play and then go lay down with Collin in my nephew's room. But with Carter climbing out now, I can't do that. So I've been wasting almost 2 hours the past 2 days trying to get them to go to sleep without any luck. It's very frustrating.
Okay, as usual, my quick update is much longer than I intended. Well, I'd better get to bed if I'm going to actually get up and run with sis early a.m.
I will check in tomorrow and I hope to be able to read more blogs by then.
P.S. I tried to renew my membership, as it expires very soon and of course, couldn't. I'll have to send a support ticket. What a pain this whole renew thing is.

:hi: It's always hard getting my kids to sleep/nap at someone else's house, too! I hope that following your meal plan gets a little easier. And that you can get in a bit of exercise. It will make you feel better, as you know. Enjoy your time there and don't let food/lack of exercise put a damper on enjoying family time!
