View NIKKI8's food & exercise for this day

Great News!!! I got the job at Collin's preschool! :rock1:
I praise God for this as I can send my boys to school for free, still be at home with them most of the time and pay my student loan payment!! Just 2 days a week for about 5 hours each day. :thumbu2:
I'm sad that I won't be a stay at home mom full time anymore. But if you have to work, I'd say this is the best option. And it won't start until August, so I have a while to enjoy doing "nothing" (Yeah, right!).
Exercise Report
I just had to skip straight to this part as I'm so excited. I ran over 2 1/2 miles tonight without stopping!!! My running partner couldn't make it tonight so I decided to go on my own. And I really pushed myself. It actually wasn't that bad. I was so close to 3 miles but I didn't want to push myself too hard as I haven't run in a few weeks. I think I ran better because I didn't run with my partner. She and I talk while we run, usually about deep life issues too and it makes it harder to run very long. We usually wimp out after a mile and a half and walk some.
My husband is being supportive of me with my triathlon goal. :bigeyes3: I am so amazed. I think he finally realized that I'm serious about this. I had told him recently that this is my dream and I'm going to give it my best shot. So he encouraged to start training more. THat was a shocker. He said what I'm doing now isn't going to be enough to prepare me cardiovascualarly. He's right, of course, but I already knew I wasn't doing enough. But he gave me good ideas about what to do about it. So I'm really excited about that.

We had a great time in Branson this weekend. The boys loved the waterpark, but getting them to sleep in the hotel was a true nightmare. My husband and I both swore we are never taking them to a hotel again, for a long time at least. They were so awful and were so tired. We finally got Carter to sleep but Collin took much longer and couldn't relax and fought it when he was starting to finally fall asleep. My husband was ready to pack us all up and just go home. And after a while I was too. But eventually he did sleep. :sleep3: I am so exhausted now, especially after running so much. So while I have more to say, I'd better get off now. Good night!

Congrats on the job! It sounds like a perfect situation. And congrats on running 2.5 miles straight! I'm glad your husband is finally being supportive about exercise. Maybe now that it's *his* idea, he'll help you find the time.

Wowee Wow Wow!!! I knew you would get the job! That is so awesome! I can sure understand the need to go to work part-time (as you know), but this is a fantastic option for you. Not only do you make the income, but also you make money in terms of free preschool ... what a deal. And great news all around with a fun trip to Branson and a great run. I am so happy for you:kiss::love::rock1:
