Unbelievable. Collin :barf3: again last night. And then this morning I spent alot of time in the bathroom with the big D. Sorry if that TMI, but I'm just reporting how we are still sick. I can't believe this. He didn't have a fever at all and was fine the rest of the day. He was still tired though and took a nap. If all goes well tonight and no fever tomorrow, then I will say we are through it. But my goodness, this is just hanging on and on.
I had to miss my bootcamp class at the Y today too. :cry3: That is very disappointing. But I didn't want to spread any germs. :nono5: I wouldn't wish this on anyone.
The boys really wanted to go somewhere today, but as I said, I didn't want to spread this at all. So we stayed home all day. They got restless, so I came up with some games to play with them. All I did was put a line of masking tape across the floor and we did so many silly things with that. Carter loved walking the line in all sorts of silly ways. I had them do relay races. I taught Collin how to play Hot/Cold with hiding a ball. And then later in the afternoon we made cookies. Collin has been asking to for a few days now.
We probably shouldn't have made cookies with our stomachs the way they are. But I thought it would be fun. Carter didn't understand that the cookies had to be baked and kept trying to grab the raw dough off the sheet and yelling "Cookies!!!" :laugh5: So cute.
I tried a new recipe for sugar cookies and they turned out great. I used an America's Test Kitchen recipe and just subbed a gluten free flour mix that was highly recommended. Finally a cookie that didn't fall apart or crumble. And tasted just like a regular sugar cookie. You probably couldn't tell the difference. :thumbu2:
But I paid for it later with my stomach as I had cramps and, uh, gas. I can't wait until we are over this stupid bug.
Anyway, at least we had a fun day and I felt like a "real" stay-at-home mom (the kind I always envisioned) instead of the run-around-all-day, run-errands, and frantically-clean-the-house kind of stay at home mom that I usually am.

Oh. Wow. I am so sorry you are all so sick. But, judging from the fun day you managed to have, I think maybe God is forcing you to have a little down time! Still ... get better:kiss:

Wow, Nikki. One tough bug. Kudos to you for having the energy to make it fun in spite of it all. That is a huge testiment to your Mommy-skills!

Sorry to hear you are all still feeling bad. The barfing thing with the kids is something I'm not looking forward to. I can deal with dirty diapers, but barf is something else entirely.
