Ugh! I have tons to write about but very little time as it's late and I need to get up early.
So I thought I would just quickly write about how my food is going.
I truly am taking babysteps here. I am making slow, small changes. So I know I won't see dramatic weight loss. But as you know, I have tried the quick and dramatic route so many times and crashed and burned. So slow and steady it is for me.
Yesterday I did pretty well and resisted temptations, affirmed that I can do this and can make healthy choices.
Today was harder. My husband and I went over our money situation last night (one of the things I really want to write about, but don't have time right now). So I am stressing over money big time. Chris is crabby, but claims he is fine with everything. Um, yeah right. I think the money stress is definelty getting to him.
Anway, I did not plan our my meals ahead of time.

Big mistake number one. Did okay for most of the day. Dipped into the leftover b-day cake a little at a time.

Until I had the equivalent of a piece or maybe more.
Dinner had some planned splurges of Fritos with my taco soup and a sprite, but with the cake already eaten I felt bad about still having those.
I know I was eating out of stress and worry. Did it help my stress and worry? No! Did eating that cake help us have more money or less expenses? No! So big lesson number 2.
The good thing is I didn't throw my hands in the air and say, See I can't do this! No, I didn't let it ruin the rest of the day. I feel lousy about it, but I'm moving on. Progress, for sure.
I have tomorrow's meals planned. And that is a key for me.

Okay, I'd better go to bed and write about the money issues tomorrow. Good night.

WTG on resolving to take baby steps and not pushing yourself any harder than that. You'll end up further because of it. You've go tomorrow planned - GREAT JOB! You know how to do this and you're doing it. Baby steps and planning.

I have an idea on the cake. Maybe you could cut up the leftovers in advance for each family member and put saran wrap over them or something. Maybe that's crazy, I don't know!

http://www.gfgreatbakes.com/ - this lady makes the BEST bagels I have ever had that are GF. They come unbaked, so you have to bake them and they were totally yummy. I ditched the sugar and chips, etc. and junk food from our house - I threw out 3 garbage bags full of stuff, but it's all gone.

Planning is definitely a good thing, and being on the same page is priceless. Progress, not perfection, right?
