View NIKKI8's food & exercise for this day

Yesterday I got up at 6am but didn't elliptical. I was still feeling sick. I did do my Bible study, prayer and meditation on my ipod. :thumbu2:
And I must have still been sick because I took a nap when Carter went down for one and I was so out of it. I went into such a deep sleep that I had trouble waking up. So I think I needed the rest day.
Today I got up and I did do the elliptical and I read my Bible study and prayed while I exercised. That really works well for me and I need to keep telling myself that I am doing this for myself, that I will be much better the rest of the day if I start my day like this. =D
I was thinking after that entry the other day that you guys who work must have rolled your eyes at me :afraid2: whining about 6am. I'll bet many of you get up much earlier than that to exercise before work. :afraid4: And I will have to do that too when I go back to work full time.

For right now my kids get up between 7:30 and 8 if we don't have anywhere at a certain time. And I can take a nap later if I need to.
I Love being a stay-at-home mom! :teeth3: (Although I earn that nap!)

Update on Hubby
Well, I talked to Chris yesterday morning about my hopes/plans for the babysitter biking thing. I wish I had gotten Nadine's :wave1: comment a little sooner yesterday because he was put off by the "I'm not asking permission, I'm coming to you out of respect." Yeah, I should have worded that more gently or something.
Anyway, he asked me about how I'm going to pay her. I said $20 week, $80 month out of my cleaning money. He pointed out how we are trying really hard to get back on our feet financially and that it seems like a waste to use the money that way when in reality I could have his mom babysit for free.

I explained why I wanted a babysitter--to save time so I don't have to run around switching vehicles, so I don't have to be away from the kids very long. He came up with some solutions. Said he would put the bike rack on my car or I could take the wagon.
I also asked him if I could have the bike trailer on my bike and take the kids on bike trails sometimes. He said yes. (Last year he didn't want me to have the bike trailer attachment on my bike because he was afraid I'd take the kids on the streets around our neighborhood. And he was probably right! :angel4: I would do that! I think he's too paranoid. People do that here all the time.) But I digress.

So after thinking alot about it and the information he gave me, I came up with a plan. I talked to my MIL and she will watch them every other week (my off week of cleaning) so I can bike on my own on some road routes.
On the other weeks I will bike with the kids in the bike trailer on bike trails. And my friend (who's also training for the tri) will go with me with her kids in their bike trailer.
I feel really good about this plan. I really didn't want to spend the money on a babysitter. We are making great strides to stop using our credit cards. And besides, he doesn't know this, but I use my cleaning money to pay for accupressure sessions. I don't know how I'd pay for those if I was paying a babysitter.

I am so excited to be able to get some road biking in. I  biking so much, even though it's hard going up those hills. I love the challenge. I love spin class too, but there's nothing like biking on the road.

Thanks for all your support!

Regarding your comment on nma5632's blog: I am one of those girls who carries the chicken around. LMAO. I grill many breasts at a time and slice them into strips. I even carry them in my purse :o - to work for the cooler - LOL. Fortunately for me getting protein in is never a problem and I tend to get about 120g a day.

I'm glad you came up with a plan that works for you and hubby. If you need a sitter once in a while, though, go for it! Moms need a break!

Yes i have tried that (as you suggested before). I used to take them in the AM and I switched to PM before bed but it doesn't seem to make a difference, i am still tired!! I think most of the pollen has cleared up enough that I can stop taking them daily. The trees blooming is what bothers me the most and we are way past that stage now.
