Tuesday, Jun 24 2008 - Great Day!
View NIKKI8's food & exercise for this day
I had such a nice day today.

I got up early and did my 30 mins on the elliptical. (I did it yesterday too!) Then after getting the boys around, I dropped them off at a friend's and I got a massage and a pedicure!

I had a gift certificate for the massage and I've been saving dollars here and there for the pedicure. It's been almost a whole year since I had a pedicure

so I really needed one. Bad.
I had Qdoba for lunch

did not overeat

and then picked up the kids.
Then tonight I ran 3.2 miles with my friend. I haven't done that distance since my toe injury. I've only done 2 miles. We ran it in 34 minutes, which I'm pretty happy with considering we had hills in her neigborhood and that it's been so long since I did that distance.
But I felt really good during the run. Pretty strong. I think it's because I've been eating pretty well lately.
I have just felt calm around food the last few days. It's been so amazing. Less compulsive, more calm, more hopeful and less self-doubt/guilt that brings me down.
I think it's a combination of things that's helping. For about the last week I've been writing down my Redo for the day and 2 successes in my journal before I go to bed. (That's homework from InsideOut Weight Loss). And there have been a few other things that just working together are helping me finally feel more confident in myself and my ability to eat healthy.
Thank you all who left supportive comments the other day. They mean so much to me. Things are slightly better with Chris. And I mean slightly. But that's better than nothing.

Great job! You had a wonderful day today! And good job on handling food better. Junk and crap food does not solve your problems - all it does is make you fat.

Glad you are getting back out there and running, good for you. And, I love that phrase, calm around food. That is GREAT Nikki!
