I'm back from my trip to KC. We actually got back Sunday night, but I've been busy trying to recover. The house has been a disaster.
Anyway, it was fun but exhausting. I did not get a break from the kids at all. That was hard. Plus Carter is just wanting to run around everywhere, making things very challenging.
The hardest part of the weekend was trying to figure out what and where to eat gluten free.
We did okay, but Collin has the double issue of celiac and also sensory integration ...

Quick Update: I'm feeling a little better since I talked to a friend on the phone (remember Ashli anyone?). I explained how I'm not obsessing anymore but am eating horribly. She was so understanding and we talked about the rebellion that you feel after you fall off a diet and just want to go all out with the food. The all or nothing mentality that gets me in trouble so often.
She suggested I not even try to lose weight right now. Just maintain.

I'm just not very motivated to blog lately. In fact, I'm wondering if I'm about done with CK. I am glad I decided not to renew.
Since I have come back from my trip, I have been much less obsessed with my weight and food. I'm not eating healthy, not by any means. And I look awful. I saw my race pictures online yesterday and I look so fat. My clothes are very tight and I know that I haven't been this heavy in a while.

I only have a few minutes, but I had to report that I DID IT!

On Saturday I did the 12 mile bike ride on very hilly course for my part of the team triathlon.
I was so nervous, but was determined to do it.
There were 2 very tough hills that I was tempted to get off my bike and walk up, but I didn't! I had to do the loop twice as the course was 6 miles. So the second time up those hills took a lot of mental determination and pure grit to get me up those hills. But I never walked once. ...

Just a quick update.
I have to say that I must be insane. I must be. What was I thinking signing up for this race on Saturday. I'm doing the bike portion of a team triathlon.
It's 12 miles, which really isn't that bad, but I drove the route and it's almost all really nasty hills. Yikes!
Hills kick my butt.
I practiced yesterday and did 3 1/2 miles with intense hills. My legs were shaking afterwards and I felt nauseous.
But then I went and did the first mile and a half of the act...
