View OLDARMYMED's food & exercise for this day

When I used to look at a package nutrition label and noticed how many servings it contained I was convinced that the resulting serving sizes would be insufficient to support life, let alone provide that warm feeling of a full tummy. However, after making a conscious effort to reduce the strength of my gravitational field, I decided to try just eating the serving size on the envelope. After my meal I was noticeably not full, but, neither was I still hungry. Over tha following few minutes, the full feeling began to creep up on me until I actually felt quite satisfied. AND, I noticed that the "stuffed" feeling did not follow. What a wonderful feeling. To be full and to still be able to walk around without difficulty.

I eat instant oatmeal for breakfast several times a week and had always used two envelopes. For the past two days I limited myself to one envelope. It worked. By the time I was a little hungry again it was time for the mid-morning snack. For lunch today I had a single tuna sandwich (2.6 ox tuna, fat free mayo, on an Arnold whole wheat round) and a dill pickle spear. The pickle satisfied my need for crunch and the sandwich actually filled me up.

I am beginning to think the folks who select the serving size for food labels might not be as sadistic as I had originally thought.

I feel much better after a meal and still have plenty of energy to do what I need to do. I can do this!!
