After a few months of chaos and getting a book (at least the text part) to the publisher, I finally have some free time to get back on CK. I put a bit of the weight back on but am am holding my own now and am planning to stay in a maintenance or moderate loss mode until June, when the book will finally be published. Until then I have at least two iterations of intense proofreading and correcting, along with the creation of a number of architectural drawings and illustrations. No it is not a novel, nor will it ever be on the NY Times Best Seller list. It is a technical handbook on fire-resistant construction for architects and engineers. I put together a new edition every three years and this is the end of the cycle. I have been doing this since 1985 and this is the last one I will do before I retire next year. Once it is printed, I'll be relatively stress-free, have a lot of free time, and be able to get back to an exercise routine to make a concerted effort to get to my goal weight before I retire. I saw your post today about cooking shows and I'm so happy to see you've returned.

Your book has a new edition every 3 years? Is there that much change in fire-resistant construction?

I'll look forward to your inspiring weight losses again starting in June.
