You all know what they are. We have all experienced them. Our weight loss journey is cruising along at a reasonable pace then one day, apparently for no reason whatsoever - WHAM!!- you wake up famished and have to crank up the vigilance as you move about this food-filled world in which we live.

One thing is for certain. As I travel down this road of changing my eating habits I find that I am eating things I never considered eating before. It is a real education in flavors and textures. I had no idea that some of the things I used to pass by actually are quite tasty. Tonight for dinner we had portabello pizzas. Have you ever dug down to the bottom of your pantry? Or looked way in the back at the stuff shoved up against the wall? I was amazed at the weird things I encountered when I did this.
