OTTER's Jan 2008 CalorieKing Blog

Saturday evening...

Saturday, January 26th 2008

Had a good gym workout today. The presence of all the mirrors made me think a lot about how different my body feels and looks being in my mid-forties than it did when I was in my 20s or 30s. Though my weight has changed since joining CK at the beginning of this year, I still look so much softer than I did even in my late 30s. I don't know if that will change with time of if there is just something "soft" inherent in getting older. Found myself slyly looking at the older ladies at ...

Today I go public...

Wednesday, January 23rd 2008

I want the support of friends and family who are not CK members, but may want to see my blog. So I marked by blog for public consumption. If it feels too public, I can always undo the settings!

Goals / Rewards, etc ...

Sunday, January 20th 2008

This weekend I went through the early CKU lessons on setting goals and making rewards. (I think I'm up to some of the week 3 lessons. Some of the week 1 & 2 lessons won't mark "complete" even though I did complete them.)

Every Day is a Journey...

Friday, January 18th 2008

It has ups and downs. Some days I do better than others. What I notice since making this a journey that I do with the help of God and by trying to follow Jesus: I'm happier, I struggle less over the choices, I more often choose to honor this temple of my soul, I am more flexible to circumstances.

These changes come to the office with me, too. Yesterday was a busy day, I had tasks to do that were new to me, things I don't think of as "mine." But those tasks were necessary, and...
