Did the weigh-in today. No change in weight (not surprising, given my moon cycle). Too lazy to take body measurements, so I don't know if that has changed.
Picture is of my shoes. Gold boots are from a different time in my life. But they're the only boots I have left, and every once in a while in the pacific northwest I actually have need of boots. The two black pairs of shoes are my "old lady" shoes. Made for comfort and support, they make me laugh when I look at them -- how did I get old enough not just to need these, but enjoy wearing them?

What do you call it?
My grandma called it "your girlfriend". My girlfriends in school called it "on the rag." I've used "moon cycle", "time of the month", "red flag", "falling off the roof". "Period" is very common. "Menses" is very formal. Do you have a special name for this thing which lets us know we're healthy and not gravid?

*giggle* I use to wear 3 inch stiletto heels all the time (ah, the 80s) Now I grumble if I have to wear pumps instead of my comfy shoes or even better, my sneakers.

TOM (Time of Month), Period, Aunt Flo. Depends on who I'm talking to and why! There are now three females in my house who have periods, it's already driving my husband nutty.
