I'm baaack!
And glad to be here. The business trip was WONDERFUL, but probably for some of the wrong reasons.

Work went great. I felt useful and helpful, which is important for a trainer!
We had lousy weather, so I was greatful to have the driving skill of my hubby along. Then I was just pleased to come "home" to the hotel each evening and have the company of my hubby, and to rise each morning to the company of my hubby.
I ate spectacularly! Enjoyed some new type of Chinese food on Thursday evening and was in hog heaven with the flavors. Hubby is a simple guy in his meal tastes, so I generally keep it simple at home. Eating out is an excuse to try every new thing under the sun. It was yummy (dry cooked northern spareribs, sauteed spinach & garlic, sauteed green beans). It was also OVER my calorie total.
Then got to visit friends over the weekend and had a DEE-LIGHT-FULL visit. These are people I've known for 20+ years, and every time I visit I feel I'm in the bosom of family. I am seen, and celebrated, and pampered. I learn and grow and have a chance to think about new things. And since the friendship has lasted so long, I gotta believe that some of the same good feelings are happening on their side, too.
Got lucky - drive home was easy, low traffic, and not too much weird weather. (Little rain, little hail, but all manageable.)
Won't weigh in until next weigh-in day. And didn't log two days worth of meals (too hard to go back at this point). And made a wee little list of what I can do to be a bit more responsible to my good health on my business trips.
Glad to be home. Have enough clean clothes so I don't have to stress about what to wear to work, did a smidgen of grocery shopping so I've eaten on target today, found a new interesting exercise DVD at the library, so I had a great workout today.
Praise Yah! All is right in my world, alleleujah, alleleujah.
Peace be with y'all. -otter
