Better today!...

Tuesday, June 17th 2008

Sleep really does "knit up the raveled sleeve of care." Getting extra rest last night, getting good exercise today, and eating properly has really helped my outlook.

Thought for the Day: Realizing I don't have to hide from who I am. I can live with my weaknesses, accept the weaknesses, decide to work around the weaknesses, vow to work on changing weaknesses, or even celebrate my weaknesses.

What's a weakness? How about being a self-righteous idiot from time-to-time? ...

Exhausted...

Monday, June 16th 2008

Fatigue surprises me. I can't think very straight. I feel cranky. I feel sad.

We had too much weekend at my house, a weekend that started last thursday and only ended this morning. Our 6-y-o niece came for a visit. She has problems sleeping, so we had problems sleeping. I ate too much yesterday. And I am too tired, still, to exercise tonight.

Since I have begun to lose weight – actually, since I joined CK at the beginning of this year, I notice many things are different. And as my weight changes, more things are added to this casual list.

- My skin is ...

Hmm, never can be too careful...

Wednesday, June 4th 2008

In an earlier blog post, I'm certain I mentioned that I was reading James Frey's A Million Little Pieces. I mentioned the book to a friend, whose response was to laugh aloud. Apparently the book was debunked as fictional. (See http://www.thesmokinggun.com/jamesfrey/0104061jamesfrey1.html for one account.) Now I'm trying to figure out if the book, originally read by me as nonfiction, has any value to me as fiction.

Two main thoughts: a) I have not thought of myself as having any addi...
