Here I am in the closing weekend of my vacation.

I did manage to clean my closet of the extra large clothes that no longer fit. And I went shopping to find some new clothes and had a tremendous surprise -- I've dropped another size in pants. This made me bold! I've not been able to find all the clothes I need by shopping at regular stores. Today I tried my neighborhood Thrift Store. Thrift Stores are great for finding bargains, and they suit my frugal nature, and they're great for "green consciousness" -- but I haven't really been able to shop for clothes at Thrift Stores since I became about as large around the middle as I was tall back in the mid-1980s. But much has changed since January of this year. Dropping one more size in pants made me bold. Shopping at the Thrift Store today I found the perfect pair of pants and a small blazer, both pieces suitable for the office. Yippee!

No logging of food this weekend. We had guests who brought sumptious healthful food, and I've been eating to satisfaction without too much regard to calorie counts. Will get back on program by return to work Monday.

At hubby's request, I will make an effort to attend church tomorrow. I want to bring an open heart, mind, and spirit. Pray for me if you are the praying type, wish me luck if that is more your style.

Shalom, -Otter

My prayers are with you on the church situation. A tired spirit that is grieving of sorts which yours is, is hard to get to go and fellowship. I know when my spirit was down the last thing I wanted to do was to go and fellowship with other believers even though it was probably the best thing for me.
Yipee, isn't it fun to see those new sizes in pants!!!! I just love to go into a store now and try on clothes to see if a new size fits me ever so often now, and I hate buying clothes. I would never have done this years ago. :)
