View OTTER's food & exercise for this day
All our tomatoes came off the vine -- first frosts are coming, take them off now or lose the fruits of the vine!
They sure crowded our kitchen for a while!

"Eating What I Want" has changed dramatically since I joined CK in January this year. I used to eat what I wanted with my eyes, and my misdirected needs to be fulfilled. That meant that almost every day, almost every meal, I ate to the point where I was uncomfortably full. Sometimes to the point of wanting to lay on the floor to breath. And still I would add snacks into the middle of that consuming desire for food.
Now, "eating what I want" means eating until I'm satisfied, eating a variety of foods, enjoying celebrations and seasons, and always tuning in to what my body says. So, even when I eat more than I think I should have, I haven't had many days when I've eaten to the point of being uncomfortable. And I can't remember the last time I ate to the point of needing to lay down to breathe.
Why all the explanation? Halloween week -- I've eaten what I've wanted to eat for the past two days (more sugar than I should have). Got on the scale this morning -- same weight I was. I guess this means I'm learning the lessons of CK, learning to balance, and learning to listen to my real needs (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual...).
THIS IS A TRIUMPH, yes?
If you've visited me today, thank you. May you find many triumphs in your own journey, too!
