Sunday, Jan 4 2009 - Home again - almost!

View OTTER's food & exercise for this day

Wow, close to a week since I last posted.

In that time, saw my hubby fly home before me; celebrated new year with baby sister, & brother-in-law; got a hearing aid for my tricky left ear; flew home; found the remodeling is still in process; and have now spent a second night in a hotel with hubby - we're not at home.

Did get to do a foray home yesterday. Can tell the house will be beautiful after the remodel; can also tell it will be a long while before I can really live there. Hubby optimistically thinks one week, I believe it could be more like a month plus.

Learned we'll have new hires at the office tomorrow. Since I'm "trainer extraordinare" I'll go into the office today to prepare. First time at work since November 12. I have my trepidations. But being there will be the best way to get over those trepidations.

Realizing I have a lot of work to do to return to "normal" routine. Ate poorly yesterday. But did work on the spiritual side of living healthy. And the spiritual side generally helps me most in remembering to eat properly and exercise.

Prayed: that I would trust that all I need will be provided - I don't have to muscle things to my will and my way.

Psalms: exercised while listening to the Psalms read aloud. There are some inspiring phrases in psalms, and some scary war stuff, too. I took the inspiring phrases of praise and love to heart, let go of the war stuff.

Read/Wrote: read some of Joyce Meyer's points from Look Great Feel Great. There are 12 steps to reach the looking/feeling great. All practical advice and great reminders for me on this journey to continuing healthful lifestyle. Then spent time writing specifics of how to apply this stuff. So, even though I'm still living out of a suitcase and in a hotel, I can keep healthful snacks on hand, I can continue to exercise, and I can drink water. At least that is part of what I came to.

Hope to save weigh-in for Wednesday. But noticed my trousers were snug yesterday. So I may make a late afternoon trip to the gym and weigh myself there.

Now I'm going to ready for the Sabbath day. I look foward to making a joyous noise - visitors, I hope you have gotten a chance to do the same today!

Love, -Otter

How nice to be home...almost! Hope you don't have to stay in a hotel the whole time. What kind of training do you do? I do training and instructional design too! =D
