I'm in my home!!!!! It is not 100% functional - it would be easier to list what is working that to list all that doesn't work yet. Most important to me: A clean place to sleep that I can close off from noise and dustl; working toilet, sink, and shower; a place for an electric mini-kitchen (fridge, burner, microwave, toaster oven). So we're back!

Health is much better. Sleeping well mostly. Better energy.

Still to do: Back into regular planned exercise; shopping for healthful meals; return to physical therapy; complete my CK diaries and review the CK learning opportunities.

This week: highs and lows in the emotional tenderness department. Such longing and outrage that middle sister is gone, followed by deep resignation, then moments of acceptance. Okay, this is the journey.

Work went well. Yes, I would quit if I won a big lottery. But I also find meaning in what I do, challenge of learning, and reminders of the frailty and complexity of human communities. That is fine.

Hubby relationship had highs and lows. Our communication styles are so very different. (Want to learn more about communication styles without putting everything down to gender? Read the works of Deborah Tannen, PhD.) Felt remorse at how much yelling I did at hubby this week. But this morning I wondered if it was all worth it -- hubby was willing to be playful with me (ohh, how delightful), he showed his trust and caring for me, and it made me respond with laughter and smiles, and I could play right back and show my care and trust. <Sigh> That was a satisfied sigh. I hope we get better at this stuff. These turn-around moments make all the frustations worthwhile.

Dayenu! Home, health, happy. May you be blessed this day. -Otter
