Sunday, Jun 7 2009 - Body Bugg week 1
View OTTER's food & exercise for this day
Completed my first week on Body Bugg, down about 1.5 pounds! Yay! (Good and bad with that. Weight down, but body fat % up - sodium? lack of activity because of unusual 12-hour and 800 miles of commuting I had to do last week? Probably.) I had my complementary beginning phone support from the Body Bugg people on Saturday afternoon. Really looking forward to digging in to the BB process. My hopes are good that the challenges will be faced, instead of hiding behind chocolate cake binges!
BB likes: knowing how many calories I've really burned, the tutorials and support plans, the logging of foods.
Dislikes: Can't get the BB wet, many of the resources are identical to CK, but the program is more expensive, the food database is not as large as CK's food database (though I hear they're scheduled to upgrade by month-end), NO FORUMS OR BLOGS OR LIVE PEOPLE RESOURCES!
So, my plan is still to use my free six months subscription to see how well I utilize the BB features. Around that time my CK membership will be up for the year. I'll evaluate which serves me better and commit to that one.
Honestly: I lost close to 30 pounds using CK last year. Then gained 10 back after my sister died in December and I returned home in January. But I checked back on the blogs and logs -- I began having trouble sticking to CK by October. So clearly I hadn't made a complete lifestyle change. I'm hoping the BB, plus Beck Diet Solution, and continuing forum and blog support will help kick me over into a new way of thinking and seeing myself, food, my life.
Okay, want to have some feet-up time to read before turning in and starting a new week all over again.
Love to all my visitors! :-)

I don't know much about the BB but I didn't realize you can't get it wet. Can you manually add activity like swimming? Not that I would ever plug CK
:devious: but personally I got more from the people than I did the program so I don't know that a site with no forums/blogs would have worked as well for me. Just my 2 cents worth.
