Tuesday, Jul 28 2009 - Maybe not a great vacation day...
View OTTER's food & exercise for this day
Day Two of Vacation At Home - high temperature forecast is 103 degrees! Ack! I consider myself a polar otter. When I got home from a late flick last night (almost midnight) it was still well above 90 degrees outside, and house was still about 85 degrees. Finally turned in during the wee hours this morning, and I set my alarm for 5:30 a.m. Got up immediately at the alarm, made sure all windows and doors are open, and taking care of computer business while it is at the coolest point of day (74 degrees on waking).
Funny, I still don't want to be at the office today, even though I just might melt!
Re-read yesterday's post this morning. Still feel it is an accurate rendering. Yvonne's comment brings up one piece I haven't really thought of -- work I can do from home. I'm not even sure how to find such a beast. Guess I can start a search.
Good Things From Yesterday:<?B> Went to gym and did 3 pieces of cardio equipment plus all my arthritis PT. (Lungs fatigued from smog day before, didn't want to exercise outside.) Did enough gardening to try to protect plants from extreme heat, will do the same today. Also washed cars in the late evening as an excuse to get into the cool water. Went to see late night movie at the $2.50 movie house. Angels and Demons wasn't half bad. A fast moving story, lots of thinking and still lots of action, and a chance to marvel at the Catholic church and its history (good, maybe not so good, and bad).
Better do bills on-line so I can get the computer turned off and run out to the plants before sunlight crests the rooftops.
Best to y'all. Love, Otter

Hey, Sweets. In this heat I'm at stall speed. Luckily, I don't want to eat either so I'm not piling in calories that I'm not working off. Cold fruit hits the spot -- if there's a spot! Lie low, stay cool. Luv, Yvonne (PS: very interesting you don't want to go to work EVEN FOR AIR CONDITIONING!
:wink3: )
