3 Easy Ways to Increase Omega 3:
1. Eat more greens.
2. Eat healthier meats (grass fed).
3. Eat fish that eat plankton (and other green foods).

Reduce Omega 6:
1. Replace processed cereal with oats that contain flax

Cleanup Time...

As I approach the time to move out on my own, it's a good excuse to clean-up my stuff! I'll be moving from a 4-bedroom lifestyle into a 1-bedroom lifestyle. I'm having to consider carefully what is useful and pleasant and necessary to my life, and what is just baroque elaboration (or worse - pure garbage).

I've been packing a box or two a day. Pared down my book collection. Don't really want to take any furniture except my bed and a few bookshelves. Looking forward to an updated set of...

"Love Happens"...

Went to see the new movie "Love Happens" over the weekend. Enjoyed it, laughed. And learned. Realized in my marriage of strained communication, I never enjoyed the protection, love, and acceptance by my beloved during the immediate grief phase right after my middle sister's death. While so many friends and family members did reach out to me, my home was emotionally hostile. I'll never get that time back. A quiet moment...

I am appreciating the light patter of rain, the sound of trains in the distance, the happy hum of a dishwasher (indicating a clean kitchen).

Divorce is certain. I've been approved for the apartment I applied for, and move in date will be end of October.

I am doing okay. All the right things. Prayer and worship. Eating healthful (tho' still too much). Exercise variety and regularly.

And still this is a hard time. Made harder by the awareness of how difficult the economic clim...

Every Little Bit Helps...

I'm doing okay. Making better choices in my foods (specifically, only about 300 calories a day of empty (usually sugar) calories instead of the 500+ I was doing). Weight holding steady. Official "exercise" 5 days week. Then some walking and keeping active the rest of the time.

Yvonne's suggestion on my last blog helped so much (I've got my rosary, I've been remembering scripture to lead me from light to light). Marjorie's image was priceless -- that bubble suit of love should...
