Home Again, Home Again, Jiggety Jog!

Saturday, January 24th 2009

I'm in my home!!!!! It is not 100% functional - it would be easier to list what is working that to list all that doesn't work yet. Most important to me: A clean place to sleep that I can close off from noise and dustl; working toilet, sink, and shower; a place for an electric mini-kitchen (fridge, burner, microwave, toaster oven). So we're back!

Health is much better. Sleeping well mostly. Better energy.

Still to do: Back into regular planned exercise; shopping for ...

My Own Scale...

Wednesday, January 21st 2009

Got to weigh myself on my own scale, using my favored technique, and I'm .4 # less than I was when I left for back East on November 12, 2008. I feel my weight may have dropped as low as 132, and may have gone as high as 142 during that time. But at least I have one of my favored tools back in my life!

Saturday, January 17th 2009

I used the "wet sock trick" last night to help me heal from this head cold. I learned it from my naturopathic physician. Now cover the wet socks with the wool socks. Go to bed as usual. In the morning, your socks will be warm and dry. The energy your body uses to dry those socks is energy th...

Better...

Friday, January 16th 2009

Came in at correct calorie total yesterday. Exercised yesterday. Did devotionals and started to learn to play ukelele. Shared my sadness over changing sense of grief as to loss of middle sister. Finally, head cold improved enough that I got a good night's sleep last night. DOING WELL!

added after marjorieo's comment: YouTube on the web is a wealth of helpful info - including beginning Ukulele lessons. This is where I am starting until I can find...
