Friday, Jan 29 2010 - A "clothes-horse" loves a good excuse to buy clothes...

None of my jeans fit anymore without falling off my hips... even a pair of 14s I bought a couple months ago which were quite tight are so loose you can't really see my butt in them... and if I'm going to wear jeans... I want to show off my butt darn it!
So I went to the Gap today to browse the jeans... I expected to still be a 14 (for some crazy reason) but tried a few 12 (of course they mostly fit... only a couple pairs didn't button)... and I ended up falling for a pair of "skinny jeans".
I NEVER EVER EVER EVER E-V-E-R expected to like the way I look in skinny jeans... but wowzah!

These are hot!
So, of course, I took them home with me.
I had a long chat with my mother on the phone last night and she hasn't seen me since before I started losing weight but she's seen pictures of me on Facebook. She was remarking, exclaiming even, about how good I look in my pictures (which, honestly, aren't very many that I've put up of myself recently) and was really praising me for my hard work.
Our family has always had a thing about weight with those less chubby always criticizing those more chubby... turns out that my mother and I were always the "big" ones in the family and got a lot of the negative comments. So she gets a lot of my struggles.
Sounds like she's lost some weight too so now I have someone to give all my 16s to! excellent!

I can share my struggles and success with my mom too. But she's a petite and can't wear my clothes (I got the height spurt in the family - the only one over 5'2"
;)
Congrats. And just remember to wear cute underwear in case your pants do fall down.
