So it just came down to it...

I had to do another clean sweep of my closet. I just CAN'T live in humongous clothes anymore! I don't know what the final straw was, but I just flipped. Nothing in my closet fits well anymore and it's driving me insane!

It was laundry day so I took the opportunity to try on all my clothes before putting them in the closet. My closet now has half the clothes it did before... but you know, I'd already stopped wearing most of them ANYWAY because they look terrible and baggy.

And don't even get me started on underwear... they have gotten so big on me they bunch up under my pants! And my gym/running pants FALL DOWN when I run!! oh man.

I pulled out my "fat pants" even... the only pair I'm keeping from my highest weight last year... and I could fit my whole body in one of the pant legs. Amazing! I mean, it was a little tight, but I still got in there! :afraid4:

I went and bought myself a few new pairs of pants... cheap pants from winners. All size 10 or medium. Felt strange to buy 10s but cool at the same time. There's still a voice in my head saying "naw, it's just vanity sizing" or whatever to discount the fact that I'm actually a "10". I'll get used to the idea soon though cause I can see myself getting into 8's in the not-so-distant future. 8's! Single digit clothing is just unfathomable!!! :inlove1:

It's been kind of hard to accept that I'm still losing weight when the scale won't budge... it hovers just under or just over 180... but I'm definitely losing "size".

I went to a pilates class last night and boy did my abs get a whooping! I definitely need that though, to shake up my work out routine. I've started increasing my running distance as well... I ran 6.4 K this morning.

Man, I feel good!

Plate...
AWESOME job on your guns! I have just found your blog in a sea of randomness and wanted to say hello. Yeah-my arms are in TERRIBLE condition even though I am at the 150 mark right now. Ha! Almost forgot what I wanted to say-I have ditched the old clothes too, most of them at least. As for your expensive suit jacket---how about visiting a tailor? I'm sure they could nip it, tuck it, and make it look oh so nice again. Better than dropping another $200 on another jacket?!

It really depends on each person's body too. I have naturally larger arms, like my mother and her mother. They were my worst feature for years and it'll take a good year or two for the flappage to get super small. And that's ok. I can fit these bad boys into size 8 jackets today. A friggin miracle. I'll take that!

well my arms only look "long and lean" when they are flexed... there is certainly a lot of flab left when they are relaxed. I had a funny interaction with my cello teacher a few weeks ago when we were working on my vibrato (you know, when a cello player "shakes" their hand on the string and makes this beautiful "singing" sound with the instrument)... anyway, she told me "you know you're doing it right when the fat on your underarms is flapping.

Trust me, there's still plenty of flapping!! :laugh5:

But yeah, I'm getting pretty stoked at how toned they are getting! Thanks gals... Hope I'm not being too much of a show-off! :$

Can I make a request that the hot mama picture incorporates a gun show or at least a glute flex? Thanks :)

Congrats on the success!

Annie, I almost can't believe it when I pick up "mediums" from the racks in stores. I'm so used to being XL or L (at my previous smallest). Medium is just out of this world for me!

Hot mama picture huh? well, I'll have to see about getting one of those taken.

Good For You!!! You could always try to get some of your nicer clothes altered down a size if you truly can't part with them.

When this happens to me, come to my house & help me clean out my closet!!! :)

Thank you thank you thank you Maura! It actually is a bummer cause I happen to have some really nice clothes! I have a suit jacket (cost me $200) that I just can't part with even though it's a 16. I'll never wear it again, but I just can't say goodbye yet! :-)

Way to go, Nicole! Be proud of your achievements. That's a lot of hard work and determination. Hello, 8s, I can see you in Nicole's future...
