Updating my goals

Today: March 17 = 180 lbs
(starting my 10K training clinic)

April 5 (birthday/easter challenge): Goal weight = 175

May 14 (mid point of next 10 week challenge, "normal" BMI mark): Goal weight = 164

May 29: 10K Run in Ottawa

June 18 (end of next 10 week challenge): Goal weight = 158

July 30: Goal weight = 150

August 18: Goal weight = (under) 150

September 24: FINAL GOAL WEIGHT = 140 (if it's possible, if not, I'm happy with 150)

Reinvorated and pulling out some COWA

Over the past three weeks it's been like pulling teeth getting the scale to move downward. I know there is a lot I could be doing in the calorie consumption department - i've been fairly lax about my portion sizes and what I have been choosing to eat. :cross2:

Nevertheless I have been training quite hard for the race I ran yesterday and trying to do more weight training at the gym.

Pretty disappointing when the scale doesn't react to such hard work.

5K under 30 Minutes!!!

I ran my first race today and completed 5k in 27 mins 30 seconds.

I am SO FREAKIN PROUD OF MYSELF!!!!

The first week of January I suffered through alternating running one minute and walking one minute... and thinking running was the worst exercise in the world.

I am starting a 10K training clinic next week.

I am a new woman!!!!!

Ups and Downs

I've been noticing some changes lately... not that there has been a lot of change in the past 3-4 weeks but that I think I'm finally catching up with noticing where I've been changing all along.

Most noticeable to me are my bones. My hip bones, my knees, my elbows, my spine, my wrists, my collarbone. I never even noticed them before. Now, I even have to say that sometimes they get in the way. My knees kind of nob against each other in certain positions which they have never done before ...

New revelation

So,

I'm stuck. I haven't been able to bust through this 3 pound barrier between 182-185 for more than 3 weeks. It's not a plateau and I'll tell you why.

I'm eating too much!

Darn!!!!! :scream2:

It can be such a delicate balance when you increase your exercise level to then find out how much you can increase your food level. I've been totally not diligent at all with my food intake since I've been increasing my running and doing more weight training. Which is ridiculous because at...
