View PLATEOFSTARS's food & exercise for this day

Ok, so I am CLEARLY not capable of wearing 14s anymore.

I packed my work clothes with me to take to the gym and threw a pair of 14s in my bag knowing they'd be "loose" but not realizing just HOW loose.

I've had a hard time getting rid of my 14s because I have a lot of them, and they are all nice clothes... but clearly, it's time. I have to pull my pants up while I walk and the hems are dragging and yeah, I'm essentially swimming in them.

Makes sense when I'm fitting perfectly in 10s now. :$

So I need to get back to the topic of motivation. I posted a thread on the forums yesterday admitting I've been in a bit of a slump and also mentioned it in my blog yesterday. I'm really glad I did this because it means I have to recognize the slump and it means I am willing to accept help getting out of the slump.

Some things I am going to commit to:

1) Seeking help from husband/friends to help keep me motivated

2) Take a breather this week and spend some time ruminating over my goals and allowing myself some head space to regroup and reinvigorate my inspiration to reach my final goal

3) Mix things up with food and exercise - well just with food (I changed up my exercise a few weeks ago)

4) Get involved in a new activity (example: belly dancing, pilates, etc)

5) Set some not weight goals (i.e. situps, planks, running distance, etc)

6) Send my body a little more love - recognize and appreciate all the success I have already achieved

Well there's a start to gettign through the slump. :teeth2:

Sometimes we just have to set our clothes free don’t we. I think it is time for you to either take them to a seamstress and get them sized down, if possible, or donate them to those who could use some really nice clothing. I have a hard time finding clothes that fit me just right so whenever possible I just get them tailored down to fit. They may be able to do that for you, not sure how much would be too much work for them. I have to admit, I can just picture you walking around with your pants hanging down low like a gangster. It kind of made me chuckle. Make sure to adopt a cool swagger next time this happens...just for the full effect. :laugh5:

I think your plan for getting through the slump is fantastic! Remember we are all here willing to cheer you on and try to help you in any way that we can. Don't give up, you can get to goal and imagine how fabulous you will look and feel about yourself.

Hi Nicole...I read your thread in the forums regarding needing inspiration and motivation.

I can't really add to what others have suggested or recommended, I can just offer my support and confidence that you'll get 'er done. I've slumped a little myself since my vacation, but this past weekend I registered for a half marathon that will take place at the end of May...now for me, THAT's been my motivation to move and train and stay on track. :thumbu2:

You'll find yourself again, I know it. It SO HELPS to have so many others behind you and cheering you on! :rock1:

Pee Ess: Have you considered seeking out a good tailor to take in the clothing that you're having a hard time giving up? Just a thought.

Best wishes, Lisa
