View PLATEOFSTARS's food & exercise for this day

In my last blog, I posted some things I am going to commit to, but they aren't tangible enough for me to measure. So here are some hard commitments I'm going to make over the coming weeks.

1) Attend pilates on Tuesdays with my husband.

2) Sign up for the 10K run on May 2nd (done!).

3) Cut back on eating out for meals, no more than 1x/week (being back from vacation helps).

4) Spend some time alone over the coming days/weeks to reflect on my goals, my aspirations, my success and write it out.

5) Cut out my afternoon coffee and eventually cut back to a half decaf in the morning.

6) At least 3 evening meals a week must NOT be what I always make for myself (beans on a bun with salsa and a big bowl of salad).

7) Eat at least one new vegetable a week (how is it that I'm vegan and I have come to have so little variety of veggies in my diet! appauling!).

8) After my 10K clinic is over, sign up for a bellydancing class.

9) Buy a size 8 dress or skirt to give me something to look forward to shrink into.

10) Sign up for another Fit Assessment at my gym to see a comparison of my body composition and fitness level from 4 months ago to now.

Awesome. I'm going to print this list to remind myself! :thumbu2:

OMG. I. LOVE. YOU. SHEETAL.

THAT IS AWESOME!!!! Next challenge coming up next Friday!!!!!!!!!!!

And Marilyn, I just got a bag of size 10s from a friend who doesn't fit hers. Nice to have a selection instead of 2 or 3 that fit and the rest being baggy. GOODBYE 14s from my closet!!!

Dedicated to Nicole (and posted on your Easter Challenge too)

So here it is a week has passed
And for those on this challenge, we had a blast
Some lost many pounds, some just a few
But no matter what, this challenge helped guide us through

With Nicole our captain, and motivating queen
She guided us week to week, a new quote would be seen
What does this mean to you? is what she'd ask
And weight loss wasn't our only task

We learned much more than this pound game
We suffered trials and tribulations, sometimes shame
But at the end of it all, what have we learned?
Weight loss isn't a gift, it's something to be earned.

I open a COWA daily now, more often than before!
I am happier with my body, and workouts are no longer a bore
So thanks for supporting me in this battle of mine
My inner and outer beauty are beginning to shine.

I'm sad this challenge has come to an end
But I've gotten to know you, my challenge friends
I can't wait til the day I get to goal
So all I can say now is "BRING ON THE NEXT CHALLENGE NICOLE!!!"

Good ideas! Maybe get rid of your baggy pants as well as buying a size 8? I don't have any bigger clothes right now - not even 1 size up. Donating them & getting them out of the house was very satisfying. Now that I am maintaining my weight - I really can't gain, because I truly would have nothing to wear!
