View PLATEOFSTARS's food & exercise for this day

I have been in a bit of a rut lately. I've been getting all pissy on a regular basis because, no matter how hard it seemed I was trying, the scale wouldn't budge.

I've been making a few adjustments with my calories over the past week and it's working!

I've been trying to mindfully eat less. I find I am more than full with the same volume of food that used to satisfy me so I'm having to adjust what I'm used to seeing on my plate with what I actually need to feel full. Truly a case where my eyes are bigger than my stomach.

So yeah... I've dealt moderately ok (minus the pissy moments mentioned above) with 5+ weeks hovering around 175 because I've noticed that I'm still losing inches and I'm getting some really awesome muscle definition!

But finally today, the scale decided to reward me too... Down to 172.2!!!!! :rock1:

ROCK ON!!! :rock1:

Another reason to be happy and excited... I just joined a women's recreational soccer league for the summer. I have no clue how to play soccer and think I look ridiculous in shorts... but I think it will be fun to try a team sport as part of my exercise regime.

Today... I am patting myself on the back and congratulating myself for pushing through this difficult time with weight loss.

160s.... HERE I COME!!!!!!

 Way to go girl!! See, just dont stress out about that scale, keep doing what you're doing and it will eventually show on the scale. Your doing amazing!! Keep up the great work.

How fun, an soccer league!! That will be a nice change from the routine for you. Who cares if you dont know how to play, you will learn, the important thing is to enjoy it!

YAHOO indeed! One of the things that seems almost counterintuitive about weight and fitness is that as your muscles become more efficient they need fewer calories for the same amount of effort.

And the shorts! I'm with you and Rick there. It seems strange when you've been avoiding wearing them for however long especially when there's lycra involved!

You'll get used to the shorts. I never thought I would enjoy bicycle shorts , they seemed awfully revealing at first, now I need new ones because either the lycra has stretched or I'm skinnier in the butt and thighs. They are too loose.

I bet you look great. congrats on the scale, too!!
