Maybe it's a no-brainer to some of you ladies and maybe others will comiserate...

It's taken me a long time to finally replace my bras.

I think there were several contributing factors to me not having purchase a new bra since the ladies have gotten considerably smaller:
1) cost
2) "no one sees them anyway"
3) better too big than too small, right?
4) not knowing what size they will "settle" at
5) not wanting to find out just how much they've shrunk

But let me tell you... I am breathing a HUGE sigh of COMFORT today. No band riding up my back, no lumps of fabric, no feeling lost in my cups, no feeling droopy. Everything is right and tight!!!

AHhhhh.... what a good feeling. And let me tell you... everything else on the outside looks much better too.

I can't believe it... A year and a bit ago I was wearing a 38 DD and now I am wearing a 34 C. Crrrrrazy.

It's so nice though, to finally be able to see any nice lacy pretty bra with thin straps and know that not only will they have one in my size, but it will probably not hurt to wear it or will there be fear of falling out of it.

:heart1:

Ladies... I encourage you to buy yourselves even one new bra. It's done wonders for me. :eyebrows:

I hate going bra shopping but it is a necessary evil. What a difference the right bra can make. I have one bra that I really just need to throw away and stop wearing...maybe not in that order (LOL)...because they are doing neither of the girls any good any longer, talk about no support at all.

I think I will take your advice and go buy a nice, new, pretty bra as a reward to myself when I make it back into the 130's. :thumbu2:

I'm a new bra junkie. I'm thisclose to wearing a 36, that will be a momentous occasion, and a firt. I buy a new bra every other week at the local discount stores here in the US, because they're cheap. Clothes are one thing I never hang on to if I don't have to! Yay for new!

Buying new bras was incredibly satisfying for me! I'm like you, I waited way too long, but I didn't realize it until I went in & got fitted. It is nice to know something pretty will fit!

Is that in metric or inch measurements? lol!!

Seriously, glad you got some that fit nicely. I probably wear tshirts that are a bit on the tight side now. Used to just wear oversize to keep the belly from peaking. I hate to see the bottom of some guys bulging belly. I do have some compression shorts that are nice for working out. Keeps things from bouncin' around too much. which can get painful!

yeah it's weird how the cup changes when the band width changes. The smaller the band, the bigger the cup. A 36 C is pretty much equivalent to a 34 D.

Ahh yes, I understand the need for new bras! And you are right, they do make all of your clothing look better! Congrats on your new undergarments! YAY!

I bought a new one recently. And it's wierd. I went from a 36D to a 34DD, so now I have the "can't find cute bra" issue you describe because of the DD distinction. Grrrrr....
