Here's the good:
- I'm starting to get an idea of what I look like - woke up in the middle of the night to use the washroom and looked in the mirror and was like "holy heck! look at that girl! she looks strong, athletic... and fit!"
- I've bought some summer clothes that fit. 2 summer dresses in a size small, a couple of size 8 skirts and some blouses in either small or extra small
- I've been working out A LOT. Lots of soccer, running, weight training and walking to work
- I've been stressed lately but haven't been turning to food.
- People are starting to notice my weight loss again (third wave)
The bad:
- I've barely lost 5 lbs in the last month and a half
- I've gotten into the habit of having a purchasing banana bread with my morning coffee (unneccesary calories!)
- I've been having way too many "treats" (in addition to my now daily banana bread)
- I'm finding my muscles are really really tight lately and am losing some steam for running
- My consistency and accuracy with logging is very quickly deteriorating
The brutally honest:
1) Time to GET RID OF the morning banana bread and cut back on my treats! I keep using the excuse that I'm hungry, but if that's the case I need to either have more smoothie in the morning or have a piece fruit!
2) I'm probably working out too much in combination with not stretching enough. I HAVE TO start getting yoga in again 2x/week even if it means sacrificing a larger calorie-burn exercise. My muscles need the stretch to be able to work properly and healthily in those larger calorie-burn exercises! (Must keep reminding myself of this!)
3) I MUST improve my calorie logging. I need to stop copping out and make sure I log EVERYDAY. Not only that but to log accurately... I end up telling myself "oh I don't need to log this or that or all of this or that because I worked out today" BAD IDEA!

Extra calories sneak in that way and since I'm not losing weight... I can't afford extra calories!
Well those are my three areas for improvement! Let's hope it results in the scale moving again!
Here's a pic of me from last week... I chopped off my hair and here's one of my size small summer dresses! Have I mentioned I LOVE summer?????

LOOOVE the new dress and the sassy hair. I've gotta say, wow, this is RIIIGHT about where I'm at girl. I think I could've written that post. I too bought size 8s, a size small dress and extra small shirt (wierd coincidence!). But more importantly, I too am not doing what I know I need to do to get to goal. Where are our heads?!?! We are sooooooo close!!!!

i feel you on the extra calories when you have a big burn... and on being more relaxed in logging.... we are getting there and eventually we will have to loosen the strings so to speak and fly on our own... this will mean more relaxed logging and eyeballing a serving etc. but for now, for continued weight loss, it sounds like you know what you need to do. soon, though, in your maintenance days... maybe that banana bread is *okay* and you can still have some treats..... but just some!
;)
love the dress... your arms look really nice, and your shoulders are defined... mine have taken on this shape too and I love it. for the first time in my LIFE i want to wear sleeveless shirts.

You look gorgeous - so fit!
You have the right idea - it's so easy to slip back into the old habits of food indulgence. Would be far better to eat more fruit and veggies, than sweets. they can really creep up on you if you have to stop working out so hard for any reason.
And when you are running you really really need to keep up with your stretching!!!!! Especially your achilles, your glutes and the front of your calves. Every time you run! It's hard to get limber after you lose it!

I love the dress!! I have a great recipe for rhubarb muffins with lots of protein and fiber. Only 154 calories and really great for a quick breakfast. Let me know if you want it.
Hang in there. I've decided for every 10 lbs. I lose it then takes my body a couple weeks at the same weight before it starts dropping again.
