Wednesday, Jul 28 2010 - Nicole's body to Nicole... 'Feed me less, but more frequently!'
View PLATEOFSTARS's food & exercise for this day
I've noticed something lately... that I get really ravenous and then I eat and the afterward I get this really uncomfortable "full" feeling.
I hate it.
And I think I've pin-pointed what the issue is.
(Of course I know) I'm smaller. I require fewer calories. The sheer amount of food I used to eat 6 months ago, a year ago needs to be less because I NEED less.
But I often give in to what my EYES think they are hungry for. I'm so used to knowing how much I "usually" eat and serve myself that much, that I don't actually think about how much I'm actually hungry for.
So lesson #1 - EAT LESS NICOLE! Or at least serve myself less and if I'm still hungry, THEN have more.
But I think the other part of it is that I let myself get way too hungry between meals. I used to be ok going several hours without eating but for some reason I get super hungry. What I need to try to do is feed myself less... but more often.
That's what I've got on my agenda for this week to work toward.
Less, more often.

Great insight. I'm not as far along on my weight loss as you are, but I have noticed that my appetite has really changed - that is, if I listen to my body saying it's full. Last night my husband and I went for sushi and ordered four rolls like we always do. We couldn't finish it all. Before I started losing weight I could have polished that off and had hibachi and dessert.

Snack more darlin! A handful of grapes or a Fod for Life english muffin is a great burst of carby energy that satisfies. :-)

I remember making three passes through the line at those all-you-can-eat buffets. Now I can't even finish one plate.
;)
I am fortunate to have a desk job where I can schedule out my meals and snacks and eat pretty regularly. I don't know how people without that option manage.
Well, listen to our body, girl. You know the drill.

I totally agree! I usually mess this up in the afternoon to evening time. If I don't eat a snack between lunch and dinner watch out...
BTW your new pic. is great! You look amazing.
