Last week I went to the movies with a few friends. I don't normally like going to the theatre because I get all bothered by the amount of trailers and commercials they pass before the feature... I don't think it's right that I pay $15+ dollars to have the people I'm paying make money from somebody else too to try and sell me their products. I came for what I already paid for which was the movie. I didn't pay to be sold something else.
(sorry, I do get on a soapbox about it.....)

Not much to say today.Spent a lot of time chatting with some colleagues today about how much weight I've lost. I got a congratulations hug and told her to save another one for a year from now when I've hopefully maintained the loss.
I went to a yoga class on Sunday and caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror and though "darn am I ever skinny!" so I took a picture when I got home.

I can trace its earliest manifestations back to a camping trip with my best friend and her grandparents. They stopped at a 7-11 on the way out of town with us pre-teens in the back of the camper. They gave us each $5 and told us to buy whatever candies we wanted. It was a crap-load.I remember eating mine very quickly as the first few days passed. My friend still had most of hers left. My husband and I often walk to work (and back) which is a good 50 minute walk each direction.I like it because it gives us time to catch up... and has often been a place for him to talk about his recent research and me to talk about weight loss.
I guess something about today changed my husband's opinion about me because he was very quiet as I was talking about weight loss (and I *might* have got a little bit on a soapbox) but when I was done... he got super excited.

I blogged here on CK about a month ago about a transition I am going through.I realized, this summer, through much soul searching, that I am a lesbian. This does not come without difficulty for anyone - least of all someone with a husband who loves her dearly.
