View PLATEOFSTARS's food & exercise for this day

Grumble grumble...

"You were right."

That's my eating-crow for the day to the universe, mostly my CK universe, where countless times I had been told to "try increasing your calories to break a stall in weight loss."

I was happy to stop losing weight when I was hovering between 154-156 though I did feel a wee bit sad that I wouldn't get down to that final "number" I'd been coveting this past year... 150.

But I was ok with it! Honestly!

I've upped my calories quite a bit over the past month, haven't changed my exercise much.. and all of a sudden... WHOOSH. I've lost another 5 pounds. What? :afraid4:

Yeah, those last 15 lbs between 155 and 170 were painstakingly slow to take off. I remember several people saying I should up my calories to try and kick start my weight loss again. In one ear, out the other. I was like "yeah right, that doesn't make sense" and stuck to my 1200 firm / day.

Now at 1650 and letting myself have up to 300 exercise calories even on top of that... and I've lost more weight. Crazy!

So, yeah. Today I'm at 149.4. I almost want to cry. I never thought I would be one-forty-anything.

But seriously... I'm stopping now! Looks like I need to up my calories just a bit more.

;)

YAY! Up up and AWAY.

Congrats on a great loss and so glad you're doing well - mind, body, and soul. I love this pic of you. I loved the last one of you playing the cello too. Do you do a side-by-side comparison of those pics?

Wow, congrats on reaching the 140s! Maybe your body just needed a few extra calories to wake up a bit. Either way, awesome that you figured out what works for you!

Nicole, sounds crazy don't it but thats way it works. The key is to find the balance point. Whatever that is? Easy to eat to much and to get into bad food habits. I know from experience on this one. You may find that you will continue dropping for a bit. Don't worry too much about it till it starts swinging back the other way. BTW, great arms and shoulders!
