I've always been a large chested woman. It was just part of the definition of who I am... "the one with the big boobs". They entered the room before I did. They were a spectacle even! I remember I went to this women's charity event last summer where you could buy 50-50 tickets. $10 for 10 tickets or for as many as would go around the circumference of a woman's chest (didn't have to be your own).

So it just came down to it...

I had to do another clean sweep of my closet. I just CAN'T live in humongous clothes anymore! I don't know what the final straw was, but I just flipped. Nothing in my closet fits well anymore and it's driving me insane!

It was laundry day so I took the opportunity to try on all my clothes before putting them in the closet. My closet now has half the clothes it did before... but you know, I'd already stopped wearing most of them ANYWAY because they look...

Keeping it all in perspective

Such a large part of my drive to keep losing weight is by riding the high of being successful. The weeks where I've lost weight and kept the loss patten on the scale are incredibly motivating to the next week's success. I have this tendency to get down on myself and discouraged when the scale isn't telling me what I want in terms of pounds lost.

Even when I think I'm not on track, most of the time... I really am. Sometimes I get worked up over nothing. (yes, I can admit it! :blush4: )

Updating my goals

Today: March 17 = 180 lbs
(starting my 10K training clinic)

April 5 (birthday/easter challenge): Goal weight = 175

May 14 (mid point of next 10 week challenge, "normal" BMI mark): Goal weight = 164

May 29: 10K Run in Ottawa

June 18 (end of next 10 week challenge): Goal weight = 158

July 30: Goal weight = 150

August 18: Goal weight = (under) 150

September 24: FINAL GOAL WEIGHT = 140 (if it's possible, if not, I'm happy with 150)

Reinvorated and pulling out some COWA

Over the past three weeks it's been like pulling teeth getting the scale to move downward. I know there is a lot I could be doing in the calorie consumption department - i've been fairly lax about my portion sizes and what I have been choosing to eat. :cross2:

Nevertheless I have been training quite hard for the race I ran yesterday and trying to do more weight training at the gym.

Pretty disappointing when the scale doesn't react to such hard work.
