So I set some goals just before the new year and I think it's time to check in on them!!!
Starting weight by Jan 1: 195

Jan 15th weight (smallest weight in my adult life): 190
took an extra week, but CHECK
Feb 1st weight (trip to Mexico): 187

Mar 1st weight (smaller than my husband): 179
April 5th weight (my birthday and the end of the Easter challenge): 170
May 15th weight ("Normal BMI" ): 164

So the comments are coming in a floodstorm now. I can't avoid them probably because people feel like they can't avoid making them.
I suppose 50 lbs is a lot of weight - who am I kidding... that's a TONNE of weight. And actually, I'm about 75 lbs since my highest weight. Thinking about it that way... that's a lot of weight. There is this woman in my office... I think there's at least one in EVERY office.
She's just plain snoopy. She gets into everyone's business, asks much too personal questions, gossips about everyone (because she always has answers to much too personal questions) and is just, kind of obnoxious.
Luckily I have rarely had to interact with her but she happened to be in the washroom with me today. She looks me up and down and says

More and more I am hearing the same expression from various people either when they see me for the first time after a long time or when they see older pictures of me.
"You look like a completely different person."
I know I should take this as a compliment - but I am having a hard time with it.
It has many edges.
If the person I look like now is more attractive than the one I looked like before (who was completely different) than I should be happy to have left her be...

So I just got back from a great 7 days at the beach. I got to wear bikinis everyday which was a little bit nerve wracking at first, but I ended up loving it.
My husband was telling me a story about how the Mayans used to believe that God made humans out of corn dough which is why they needed to eat corn... to replenish the body.
