View PRNCSSGRL's food & exercise for this day
2:30p Today I went to Safeway to buy food for my lunches while at work. Normally I would have bought crap foods to store in my cubicle. Candy and diet soda to fill the void of being bored in between calls. Yakisoba noodles, top ramen, or cup o'noodles would normally be my main staple.
Today, if you open up my drawers you'll see crystal light and granola bars for snacks. For lunches: progressive light soups and rice cakes. Instead of cookies and chips there are apples, carrots and pears.
It has been over 3 weeks since I had a diet coke and just as long since I've been in an elevator. Even today with 12 cans of heavy soup and a paper bag full of awkward objects I still took the stairs. I didn't want to get on the treadmill today but knew I needed to move. I buckled the dogs into their walking harnesses and got in an hour walk around my neighborhood.
I'm not losing the weight like I want but I am recognizing the better choices that I'm making and I'd rather be fat and healthy than fat and unhealthy!

Awsome way to look at it...
:teeth1:
I am so happy for you and the changes you are making!
If you ever need a change from your crystal light, try Ture Orange, Lemon or Lime. It is zero calories & all natural crystallized fruit. I have a box of the lemon and orange in my desk when I want just water without too much sweetness. If you go to their website they might have coupons www.truelemon.com.

I love crystal light to-go packs. Those things rock. I try to drink water as much as I can, and when I'm thirsty and there isn't anything else I'll drink it. But when I add a pack of crystal light I can suck down a 20oz bottle of water in a couple of minutes. I think that helps me increase my daily water intake. I still drink plain water but it's gotta be cold!
Its been nearly 2 weeks now for me since I've had anything 'sweet' snack related. Right now I'm so focused on reaching my first weight goal that I'm not missing it. I know how hard it is to go in a store and NOT buy the tasty junk we want.
