View RAEANNESISSON's food & exercise for this day
as a teacher, i have the summer "off," but i chose to work part time... i am also going to class 3 days per week. so soon i will be complaining of being busy and not having a summer... lol. but for now i am going to complain because i am BORED.
when i am bored i want to eat. so i must keep finding ways to fill my time... OR just learn to be in the moment as geneen roth says and WITHOUT food. the second option would do me some good. it will just take time.
i find that i don't want to take a rest day because i fear being so lazy all day and just sitting around i won't burn near what i normally burn and thus i should eat even less... i can't do that! am i obsessing too much?
probably.
but my muscles are growing mad at me. i start working monday so i will take a rest day monday for sure... but i think i will do at least "something" each day until then. maybe with ed home this weekend it will get easier.
i am going to the library today to spend some time and see if there are any good fitness books and/or good cds or movies. that should kill some time. oh and i am going to cancel my tanning... but that's about it. not a whole lot to do when you are BROKE!
i just ran 4.34 miles.... in honor of my good ck pal aliza! i am doing a three part triathlon... because she may not get to do hers that she has been training so hard for. so i did the first part today. tomorrow i will spin and i will swim on sunday. gosh i am dreading the swimming!
here's a blurry pic of me before my run today...

Fantastic picture!
CSA = community sponsored agriculture. You sign up around March / April and you commit to getting a share of organic produce from a local farmer each week / every other week / etc. It's pretty cool, but you rarely know what you're getting until that week - it's all seasonal stuff too.
Since CHicago is huge, we appear to have some where you don't have to make a week-to-week commitment. So I usually go every other week and can add on fruits. You can tell when I get mine because the Saturday I post the foods and then ask for some help with cooking ideas. It forces you to learn new menu items, that's for sure!

It's too late to get a summer share, but you can look into fall if it's something that interests you (and if you can find one that does other seasons)
PS - If I had a day off, I'd lay on a blanket by the beach with all my gossip magazines. I truly know how to be lazy!

I have the same issues: eating when bored and not wanting to take a day off for fear I will "fall off the wagon." Kind of funny, but my boredom fix lately has been crossword puzzles or computer games--something to keep my mind and hands busy! As for not taking rest days, I think taking a walk or doing light yoga is a good way to stay active on a rest day.
=D
Awesome pic, by the way. I just realized we have the same goal weight (and you are so close!). How tall are you? I've been overweight my whole life, and I don't remember ever weighing 130, so I have no barometer on what my body will look like when I'm near/at goal. Seeing you, looking so great, gives me motivation!
