i cannot believe the scale said 136.9 this morning. i am in utter disbelief. i know that chances are that it will go back up... and i am prepared. but nonetheless, it will eventually settle on 136 and probably stay there for a while... as always happens. it shows me a glimpse of that amazing new all time low, goes up... then settles in and stays a while.

in other news, i got a bike today. i am super excited. it's a schwinn voyageur. and i bought it on a day with flash flood warnings. go me! can't wait to ride it to the gym... and whatnot. i think my knees will be happy. but i will still run! :)

i really wanted the roadbike which was twice the price... but someday. not yet... but someday.

i even got a helmet for safe yet nerdy riding.

Love bike riding. Don't knock your helmet. It literally saved my dad's life several years ago. My husband thought I was still a dork for making him put one on....until he got on the bike he borrowed from my dad and flipped over his handle bars when he went to brake on our deceptively sloped driveway. All the hard core bikers wear 'em too. If you want to feel less dorky, I guess you could wear the tight bike outfits. ;)

136.9 is not bad at all! Rejoice in it! I was stuck at 134 for a long time. You'll get there!! Yet to be honest it doesn't feel much different being 130. Bikes are a blast! Have fun! I miss my bike, I'm looking into getting the stuff needed to turn it temporarily into a stationary bike! You don't look nerdy you look like a smart, safe, biciclist! have fun!

I think that you will really like the Voyageur. I had a similar bike and liked the fact that it had the front shocks to absorb some of the impact on the road. Also, the tires are just a bit bigger than a street bike and will not pop as easily. If you plan to ride under 18 mph, then it is the way to go. Mine was stolen at a park, so I bought a street bike. I can go faster now, but bumps in the road really jar your body.

Enjoy the road (when the rains clear up)! :smile1:
