inspired by aubrie, and also by the fact that i am confident that my new lifestyle will support further toning and firming... i am going to try maintenance calories for a while.

ck recommends 1700 so we will see how that goes. now, i will be okay with losing more weight so if i happen to be "under" those cals... well, that's okay. but if i am at or a little over, that's okay too. i am going to shoot for 1700 but give myself permission to just feel out this new territory.

i know that continued physical activity will likely result in more toning of my body and that's what i want. i'm not so sure i want to lose a whole lot more weight and if i stayed 138 but ended up being more toned, that would be great.

it's not about the number anymore.....

i am going to stop and smell the flowers of success. and keep them growing!

You believed it and acheived it! Way to go! I'm so happy for you. Maybe in a year or so, I can feel the empowerment of successfully acheiving my goal, whatever that number ends up being.

I am right behind you, Reanne. I think I will try maintenance for a while myself and allow myself to hover between 131-135.
I love that you keep your diary public and maybe more maintainers should as it is uncharted territory.

Thanks for the support Raeanne! I think you are right, it's just hard to get used to our new body image, and it's tough to know what is right for us. I think the key is sustainability. Would I look hot at 130? I dunno, maybe. Would that be sustainable for me? I don't think so. If I just stop focusing on the scale, and start focusing on toning, I think it's going to be good for me. And for you too. We've worked hard...time for a new phase! I've just just 7ish pounds to go, and you are there!!!!
