my third 5K went great yesterday. finished in about 31:30 at the same spot my very first 5K was which was a 33:00 run. so, i improved! this will be a great baseline run so that after my 15k training i can do a 5K to see how my speed is impacted. can't wait....
ran my 4 mile training session today... 43 minutes, so not too bad at all!
i have been eating 1700 cals (give or take, mostly take) for ten days now and the scale has actually increased! i am worried and i don't know why it has ...

i signed up for the shoreline squad - a 13 week training program meant to train people for a 5K or a 15K depending on their level and experience. tonight was our first "pacer" run. i signed up for the 15k... i am super excited now.
i was nervous... i didn't know how i would do. it's like i don't believe that i am running... and that i almost always run 3 miles... the pacer was 3 miles, and it was 95 degrees... humid, sunny, and very windy. i looked around and felt like i was going...

inspired by aubrie, and also by the fact that i am confident that my new lifestyle will support further toning and firming... i am going to try maintenance calories for a while.
ck recommends 1700 so we will see how that goes. now, i will be okay with losing more weight so if i happen to be "under" those cals... well, that's okay. but if i am at or a little over, that's okay too. i am going to shoot for 1700 but give myself permission to just feel out this new territory.

i cannot believe the scale said 136.9 this morning. i am in utter disbelief. i know that chances are that it will go back up... and i am prepared. but nonetheless, it will eventually settle on 136 and probably stay there for a while... as always happens. it shows me a glimpse of that amazing new all time low, goes up... then settles in and stays a while.
in other news, i got a bike today. i am super excited. it's a schwinn voyageur. and i bought it on a day with flash flood warnings. go me!...

boy am i flirting with the 130's! as aubrie says...
i know that i have done well this past week, so it's just a matter of time. i had over 900 minutes of exercise this week... kind of on accident! my goal was 450 minutes. WOW. i walked the dogs a lot, and ended up doing 3 hours of housework and a couple hours of yardwork. you betcha i counted it! but i almost feel guilty about it... in terms of the UYM challenge. like those weren't "workouts" but.... they were out of my normal ...
