Happy New Years Eve! I want to do the whole look back on the past decade, look forward to 2010 and all my goals post, but I think Ill wait until tomorrow for that one, as it could take me a bit to write. I work at 4am tomorrow (who has to work at 4am on New Years??? Me me!!!) But whatever. I actually like the early shift because it goes by really fast and I get the added benefit of being off around noon. Plus, I had an extra paid day off this week for the holiday but still wound up work...Tuesday, December 29th 2009
I do believe I am a walking, talking contradiction. How can one want so many things that are totally opposite each other. New Years my favorite holiday .for the unhealthiest of reasons. Ive been preparing all week making spreadsheets, cleaning, totally putting all my OCD efforts into making sure this year starts out absolutely perfect. I have a job that I love despite being embarrassed when people ask me where I work. Yes I work at PetSmart. I never intended for that to be my full time job, but due to recent circumstances it is, and come to find out, I love it. Im a lowly stocker/cashier/customer service person, and I was kinda okay with that for a couple months until they hired a new manager. The problem they asked me if I wanted the management position. Yesterday I saw one of the nurses from the hospital I was in a few months ago. I was talking to her and got the feeling she had no idea who I was, so I told her my name. Her comment..."Wow, you've gained so much weight I didn't even recognize you. Congratulations!" Ugh. I know it was supposed to be a compliment, but comments about gaining weight NEVER come across as a compliment in my mind. I wish I could just see it for what it is. She was trying to tell me I looked better. Sh...Let it snow...let it snow...let it snow

Wow...so cold. Not sure about this whole Utah winter thing. Drove in the snow and ice for the first time. Not a fan! Someone pulled out in front of me so I hit my brakes, not realizing I would slide into the next lane and then back across my lane and into the turning lane. Luckily I didn't hit anyone, and they all stayed out of my way. Scared the heck out of me though. How many more months of this? I'd say I hate snow, but it really is gorgeous.
